Do you ever look up at the sky and thinkabout life in the universe?

I did when I was a kid.

But I don’t do that very much anymore.

Why do you ask?

Sometimes I feel like I’m lostin day-to-day details.

Then when I look up at the sky I see thebig picture.

I appreciate things more even the littlethings.

You sound like a philosopher or a poet.

I felt like that too when I was a kid.

Don’t you feel like that anymore?

No, I don’t.

In fact, I try not to.

When I think about thing too deeply, I getdepressed.

It’s even a bit frightening.

Really, for me it’s just the opposite.

Everything seems like a wonderful miracle.

Doesn’t that frighten you a bit?

The universe is so large and we are sosmall.

What I realize is how little we understand.

We just need to appreciate our lives andnot get lost.

Sometimes being lost isn’t so bad.

Do you know the expression, ignorance is bliss.

Sure, I’ve heard it many times.

To be ignorant is to be happy.

Maybe it’s true.

Maybe it’s best not to think or know toomuch.你是否曾仰望天空，思考宇宙中的生命？

当我还是个孩子的时候。

但我不再那么做了。

宇宙是如此之大，我们是如此渺小。

我所认识到的是我们了解的太少了。

我们只需要珍惜我们的生命，而不是迷失方向。

有时候迷路并不是那么糟糕。

你知道前任的压力吗，无知是福气。

当然，我听过很多次了。

无知即幸福。

也许是真的。

也许最好不要去想或者知道太多。

不，那不是给我的。

我想尽可能地多了解一些。

这就是我成为科学家的原因。

我尊重你的选择但这不适合我。

如果理解是痛苦的，我宁愿不理解。
